I'm not sure if its a problem with avast and Stardock or something else entirely. I did a search and came up empty so I may be wrong.
I just recently decided to try using avast AV. I like that it has skinning, its free, and it is supposed to work very well. I had used it once before in the past without issue. However now after I have installed it, I have a problem. For one thing CursorXP for some reason loses its setting, it goes back to normal cursor. I open up its config and its on the cursor I selected. So I re-select my cursor and it is applied. I have a problem with Right Click as well, it won't show up. I had that happen once before and reinstalling it got it back, not this time. It remembers all its settings, but it won't show up (except as a small blank square).
My final issue and related more to avast AV is that the avast AV GUI won't load up. Everything else for it works except that. I have tried excluding it in WB, even had WB unloaded and it wouldn't show up at all. Its entirely possible there is something else at work here.
I know I could do a system restore and that would most likely fix cursor and right click, but it seems like avast av is having some conflict with a stardock program.
I did have previously Norton AV on the computer running. It was a monster to uninstall and delete, didn't go down easy. However I had verified that it was completely gone prior to installing avast.
I have also checked the avast forums with no luck in finding even a mention of the problem I am experiencing.
Any suggestions are welcome.
